Introduction

The concept of atonement revolves directly around the 'notion' that as a result of Adam commiting sin, his progeny became sinful (through inheritance). Therefore, it is further believed that Jesus, being Son of God, was sinless and thus died on the cross for mankind's salvation. In actuality, Jesus did not die on the cross but that is not the main topic of discussion here, let us remain on the topic of atonement (which is also not true).

I would like to clear the misconceptions amongst people regarding Jesus Christ and Atonement. Please read further for a detailed analysis.

Jesus Is Not The Only Sinless Person

It is believed by some that since Jesus was sinless he was thus 'eligable', if you will, to atone for the sins of others but in actuality,Jesus was not the only one who was without sin for we read in the Bible:

"Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God." (Genesis 6:9; 7:1)

and...

"Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist..." (Matthew 11:11)

Need I go on...

Christian Missionary Questions About Jesus - Part 1

Eve Is a Greater Sinner Than Adam

It should be noted that whatever happened in the Garden of Eden was not because Adam commited sin. This is further explained in the Bible:

"And when the woman saw tha the tree was good for food... she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and also unto her husband with her; and he did eat." (Genesis 3:6)

and...

"And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat." (Genesis 3:12)

and...

"And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the trasngression." ( 1 Timothy 2:14)

These verses that I have just quoted clearly show that it was Eve who's sin was greater than that of Adam and thus, only those born of woman should be sinful rather than the progeny of Adam (men), therefore, Jesus (being born of a woman) cannot atone for other's sins.

Furthermore, we read in the Bible:

"What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?" (Job 15:14)

Therefore, with this reference in mind, the concept of Jesus being sinless is practically a myth.

Christian Missionary Questions About Jesus - Part 2

Everyone Is Responsible For Their Own Actions (Sincs Included)

We read:

" The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin." (Deutronomy 24:16)

What Is The Real Method For Forgivness Of Sins? Answer: Repentance

I would like to mention that the proper way for the forgiveness of your sins is through repentance and this too is mentioned in the Bible as we read:

" If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." (2Chronicle 7:14).

Thank you for your time and pateince.

Forgiveness is for free, thats why God became a man, to die as a man for man. Man cannot stop sin, so God used his own blood to cover mans sin. Thats why it is Jesus who is the sacrifice of God the only Halaal, Kosher lamb of sacrifice.

Nice hey, Praise to God

I believe that you are referring to the following verse from the Bible:

“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto Gentiles, believed in the world, received up into glory.” (1 Timothy 3:16)

However, it should also be noted that it is stated by Paul who has admmited himself that he commits a lie on certain occasions. For this reason, this argument is invalid, again, this argument is invalid because Paul is not a reliable person. Proof of him admitting to commit a lie sometimes is:

“For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?” (Romans 3:7)

Please read my article again if you have not already done so. The correct method for forgiveness of one's since is repentance.

I would like to Thank You for taking your time to post your comment. Thank You.

The Bible does not state that Noah was with out sin. Noah was a drunkard. We are not sinners because we sin, but we sin because we are sinners. John the baptist was a great man as Jesus stated but the fact that he died proves that he was a sinner. "The soul that sinneth it shall die." If you can find Johns grave he is still there. Jesus is not there.

Jesus' tomb has been found in Sirinagar, Kashmir. It is only a matter of time before the world begins to accept this fact. On a different note, I would like for you to pay more attention to the following:

"What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?" (Job 15:14)

Was Jesus not born of a woman?

Furthermore, another point i would like to mention is that Eve is a greater sinner than Adam therefore, all woman should be 'sinners' meaning that anyone bron of a woman (including Jesus) is a sinner (God forbid).

These are some of the many things for everyone to consider.

It is my humble request that the reader reads the article in its entirety with an open mind.

I would like to Thank You for taking some time out of your schedule to comment. It is highly appreciated.

I disagree about your theory of atonement. If you study Leviticus closely, you'll note that the Lord continually states:

'If the whole Israelite community sins *unintentionally* and does what is forbidden in any of the LORD's commands, even though the community is unaware of the matter, *they are guilty.*" (Leviticus 4:13, NIV)

Lets look at another passage:

"'When a leader sins *unintentionally* and does what is forbidden in any of the commands of the LORD his God, *he is guilty.* (Leviticus 4:22, NIV)

The Lord considers any sin, even if it is unintentionally, for the individual to be guilty.

Adam ate of the tree, and was told not to eat of it. Even though he didn't intentionally eat, he still bore the sin just as much as Eve did.

As far as your reference to:

"What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?" (Job 15:14)

Job is talking strictly about *man*. The difference between Jesus and *men*, is that he was not a man. He was the Son of God. A man sins, the Son of God does not.

Furthermore, Mary was not impregnated by a man. The same 'rules' if you will; do not apply.

The method of forgiveness of sins is likely, and humbly, this:

Understanding that in fact Jesus did atone for any sin you or I would ever make, but also coming to genuine repentance. Repentance comes from recognition of your heart.

Then why is it said that:

" The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin." (Deutronomy 24:16)

If Jesus has atoned for all of our sins then why does it say that "every man shall be put to death for his own sin."?

Think about the impractibility and how illogical it is for someone to atone for another not to mention the entire mankind in general. It would mean that you can do what ever you want and whatever you please knowing that your sins have been atoned by Jesus. Break the commandments, break every rule established in the Bible, eat swine, mistreat your neighbours, etc. All this would become legal, logical, and practical if Jesus had atoned for us. Yet, common sense deems it propostrous and utterly stupid.
